PENAMPANG: PKR Penampang Branch is still strong and spiritful in its commitment to the party’s cause, despite the exit of its previous head Kenny Chua.

Sabah PKR Chief Datuk Christina Liew made this observation when officiating at the branch’s new office in Donggongon here on Sunday.
“I am happy to see that the branch committee and party members are still loyal to PKR under the leadership of the new branch head Joseph Alex Chang,” she said.

Liew, who is also PH Sabah Chairperson, wants the Penampang branch to render help in campaigning for PKR candidates in any constituency.

Earlier, in his address, Chang welcomed all those members who had left but now wished to return to the fold, provided that they still subscribe to the party’s struggle for justice.

“We had gone on our rounds to Moyog in the last few days. Ninety-nine percent of the people there are still with PKR. We stand solidly behind the party,” he said.

Also present were MP for Putatan, Awang Husaini Sahari and Sabah PKR Vice-Chairman Datuk John Ghani.
