LABUAN: Universal Serviced Offices (USO) announced its third and latest expansion with the build-out of its brand-new facility located at Level 13 (C), Block 4 at Financial Park Labuan, the heart of the retail and financial industries on the island.
USO is the largest serviced office facility in Labuan, it held its first hard hat tour with the media at the latest facility here on Thursday.
The tour was conducted by USO CEO Hesham Mansour and Regional Manager Imelda Thadeus.
This serviced office facility will aid Labuan registered companies in complying with the substance requirement for the Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA) which requires companies to open their offices here with full-time employees. The demand for offices has been high as it is a requirement for industry players operating under the Labuan IBFC.
Today, Labuan IBFC is home to more than 5,000 active companies which includes top-ranked financial institutions comprising of banks, insurance companies, trust companies, leasing companies and commodity trading companies. Thus, the serviced office facilities at USO are imperative in assisting registered companies set up here, which in turn will spur the local economy.
With the brand-new facility, USO will deliver an elegant-luxurious yet modern, high-tech serviced offices equipped with high-speed internet and a beautiful contemporary business lounge and café. The new addition to this latest facility will be the “USO Elite” corner which has offices with breathtaking and uninterrupted, panoramic ocean views.
The renovations will be undertaken by Malaysian builder, ReSpace (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd from Kuala Lumpur who has designed all the USO facilities both in Labuan and Kuala Lumpur. With this expansion, USO will offer an additional 108 modern workstations with ready to move in, fully serviced private offices. USO explains that the new business center will contain a gross surface area of approximately 5,5008 sq ft. Currently, USO has a total of 169 workstations at Level 16 and 63 workstations at Level 6 of Financial Park Main Office Tower.
The highlight of the business centre will be the USO Elite offices, a wellness corridor and the main business lounge which will serve as a meeting and communication area exclusively for its members.
Hesham said that USO is passionate and committed to continue to bring the highest level of quality, not only to their products and facilities but more importantly their hospitality and services. “We are at full capacity at our two locations here in Labuan and we a forced to expand to cater to the demand of serviced offices in Labuan.
“Our current goal is to accommodate both industry players and the local community as well. We are confident that our services can reach out to local businesses and not just the financial industry.” he said.
The build-out is scheduled to be completed by the end of February, the serviced office facility is expected to be ready for occupancy on March 1, 2024.
