Pastor Winston Tai of Xin Ann Baptist Church at Jalan Sin Onn thanked the elected representative for having included churches in the list of recipients. “The food basket programme is good, at least it helps those really in need. Those in the rural areas are in the depths of poverty.”

According to Pastor Rita Simon of Gereja Baptis Husana Tawau, the supply of rice and other food essentials provides some relief to many household heads who are struggling to feed their families during this critical period.

Liew, who is also Api Api Assemblywoman, also met with the Chairman Yonatan Musang and Pastor Ho Tet Kee of Gereja Baptis Tawau (BM Congregation) and Sri Tanjung Baptist Church (Chinese Congregation), respectively.
