KOTA KINABALU: The Society of Hope Sabah Chinese New Year Charity Dinner will be held on Feb 3 starting at 6.30pm at the Hakka Hall, Tanjung Lipat here.
Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Datuk Christina Liew announced this on Friday after chairing a meeting of the organising committee.
She said the event is in aid of the welfare programmes lined up by Society of Hope Sabah led by Josephine Hadikusumo as President.
“We have invited Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor to be the guest of honour.
“There will be 100 tables, and those who have purchased dinner tickets are requested to be on time,” Liew said in a statement.
According to her, the programme for the night includes a lion dance, a musical performance by Kian Kok Middle School and cultural dances presented by the Sabah Cultural Board.
There will also be a video presentation on the major programmes carried out by the Society of Hope Sabah.
