KOTA KINABALU: The Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu Pearl (RCKK Pearl) has donated almost RM1,000 worth of timely aid to Taman Didikan Kanak-Kanak Kurang Upaya, Sembulan.

President of RCKK Pearl, Eliza Goh said it consisted of 20 packs of drypers, 20 packs of biodegradable garbage bags and 20 packs of compact toilet rolls.

“We learned about the needs of the institution, and are glad to do our bit for charity as part of the Club’s community service project which is headed by Community Service Director Tulip Noorazyze,” she said.

Goh presented the donations to the Home Superintendent Madius Surag at the premises of Zara’s Boutique Hotel here on Friday, witnessed by RCKK Pearl Vice-President Datuk Aminah Ambrose and Club International Service Director, Rosie Chong.

“On behalf of Taman Didikan Kanak-Kanak Kurang Upaya, I wish to thank the Club President and her Committee for their thoughtful contributions,” Madius said.

The Home is temporarily housed at the Sri Pritchard Old Folks Home in Kinarut, pending completion of its new premises in Sembulan which has been delayed by restrictions under the movement control order (MCO).
