My Report Cards Prove my Opponents Wrong, Says Liew

KOTA KINABALU: Incumbent Api Api Assemblywoman Datuk Christina Liew said her report cards bear testimony to what she has achieved for her constituency and as a caretaker Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment.

On Monday, she gave out several hundred copies of a 56-page illustrative report card in the Chinese language, and copies of a 60-page report card in English and Bahasa Malaysia to shopkeepers, business owners and members of the public during her walkabout in the city.

The report cards were kept in eco-friendly bags which also contained face masks and a bottle of hand sanitiser for each recipient.

Liew said her political opponents fabricated stories to say that she has not done anything in the last 26 months since the Warisan-led State Government took over the helm in May 2018.

“It is a big lie on the part of my political adversaries who probably think they can influence the electorate. They can’t hoodwink the people.

“The proof of my work as an assemblywoman and minister is all in the report cards,” she told reporters when met at Gaya Street here.

According to Liew, the KK City Beautification Programme, which was carried out in 2018 and 2019, is ongoing with the recent launching of the Five-Year Kota Kinabalu Landscape Beautification Blueprint by caretaker Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.

“KK city and small towns like Tanjung Aru, Inanam, Telipok and Sepanggar will be getting a facelift in the next five years (2021-2025),” she said.
