MP to build two bin centres for Kg Batu Payung

TAWAU: Tawau MP Datuk Christina Liew has agreed to build two bin centres for the residents of Kg Batu Payung, Mile 11, Jalan Apas Parit in the Apas state constituency.

The residents made the request during her meet-the-people session with them at the village on Wednesday.

“They are in dire need of a proper facility to dispose of their garbage. This is one way to protect the environment in the village.

“Having dialogues with the village community in various areas to find out their problems is one of my regular activities in the Tawau parliamentary constituency,” she said.

Liew also advised the villagers to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings to avoid any disease outbreak.

She was accompanied by liaison officers from the Tawau Parliamentary People’s Service Centre. Also present were Tawau Amanah Coordinating Chairman Abas KBS @ Kaing and Tawau DAP Acting  Head Yap Wui Lip in a show of Tawau Pakatan Harapan (PH) solidarity.
