KOTA KINABALU: Some 400 food packs were given out to Muslim families from the B40 category in Kota Kinabalu and its surrounding areas on Sunday.
The food aid distribution was organised by the Api Api DUN Office in conjunction with the forthcoming Hari Raya celebration.
Api Api Assemblywoman Datuk Christina Liew handed out rice and other food essentials to area representatives when she visited the various localities in need of help. She was accompanied by Grace Lee from the Api Api DUN Office.

Community representative Amat Sani expressed his gratitude to the Api Api Assemblywoman for her contributions.”This food assistance programme eases our burden in making preparations for the Hari Raya celebration,” he said.
Norainah Tanjung, who received the food supply on behalf of her community, said it was a great relief as many villagers have been impacted by the pandemic.
