TAWAU: President of Pakatan Harapan (PH) Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be visiting Tawau, dubbed ‘Jelajah Harapan
Tawau Presiden Pakatan Harapan Malaysia’ on October 23 (Sunday).
Incumbent Tawau MP Datuk Christina Liew announced this at a press conference on Thursday after chairing a meeting of Tawau PH at the Parliamentary People’s Service Centre here.
Present were DAP Tawau acting head Philip Yap Wui Lip, Amanah Tawau Coordinating Chairman Abas Kaing and Upko Tawau Division Chief Sylvester Taing.
“We are organising a huge gathering at the Calvary Crown Hall on that day from 9am to 12 noon.
“Dato’ Seri Anwar will deliver his message to the people of Tawau in conjunction with the upcoming polls,” Liew, who is also Sabah PH Chairman, said.
Members of the public are welcomed to come and listen to Anwar’s speech, she added.
Meanwhile, in response to a reporter’s question, Liew said PKR will defend the Tawau seat but the candidate has yet to be announced.
