DISTRIBUTION…Last week, before the imposition of Movement Control Order 2.0, the Society of Hope Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, headed to Tuaran, Tenghilan, Kota Belud, Matunggong and Kota Marudu on its mission to deliver powdered milk to rural families impacted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

President of the Society of Hope Kota Kinabalu, Josephine Hadikusumo said she and her team of volunteers had distributed about 600 packets of milk powder to parents in seven villages in the districts and sub-district concerned.

“We went as far as the Kota Marudu-Pitas boundary on a day trip. All this would not have been possible without the generosity of donors who contributed to our Project Hope Milk Fund,” she said.

The Society initiated the Project Hope Milk Fund before last Christmas to raise funds for the purchase of powdered milk for hardcore poor children from urban areas, children in rural communities and those from the B40 Category as listed under the Department of Social Welfare.
