KOTA KINABALU: A 4-acre plot of land has been identified for the purpose of building an additional block for the Tawau Hospital, said the Minister of Community Development and People’s Well-being (KPMKR), Datuk James bin Ratib.
“KPMKR has identified a 4-acre plot of land which is government land belonging to the Sabah Land and Survey Department for the addition of the Tawau Hospital block,” he said.
He said this while answering a question from the Senallang Assemblyman, Datuk Seri Panglima Hj. Mohd Shafie bin Hj. Apdal in conjunction with the First Meeting of the Fourth Term of the Sixteenth State Legislative Assembly 08, 09, and 10 August 2023 which took place on Thursday.
During the conference, Shafie asked the Minister of KPMKR, what action the state government will take to ensure the availability of land for the addition of the Tawau Hospital block.
James who is also Sugut Assemblyman added that his Ministry will also hold further discussions on this matter with the Malaysian Ministry of Health.
