LABUAN: Mohd Zariq Encho has been crowned 2023 Labuan International Golf Club (LIGC) 2023, Club Champion in the recently concluded Club Championship after a gruelling 5 holes sudden-death playoff with Ahmad Izz Amin.
Both players shot 161 strokes (+17) at the end two days annual event.
Zariq, 27, capped the title with birdie on the 5th playoff hole against Izz’s double bogey.
This is the second title won by Zariq with the first was in 2018.
Third place in the Gross category was won by Joannes Pius with score of 165 strokes and Benedik was in fourth place after making 167 shots.

Nett champion goes to Ismaaly Ismail with a net score of 140 (-4).
The runner-up for the Nett category was won by Mazeran Mohd Zain with 142 strokes
The prize-giving ceremony was presented by Golf Captain LIGC Jafar Ahmad.
A total 66 members of LIGC participated in the event which was held on 26th and 27th August 2023.
