THE BEST SWIMMERS LIS MARLIN
LABUAN: The Labuan International School swimming team (lis Marlin) emerged the first champion of the Labuan Invitational Age Group Swimming Championship organized by the Labuan Aquatic Association (PAL) held at the Labuan Golf Club Swimming Pool (LGC) recently.
At the tournament, the LIS Marlin team, was joined by 25 participants, took home 56 gold, 38 silver and 33 bronze medals and was crowned the overall champion of the tournament.
Their six swimmers, Nur Syaqillah Tsen Sey Mei, Chen You Zhen, Nur Syaziellah Tsen SeyJing, Jed Jayden Ng Ka Hey, Nygel Chieng Shao Yuan and Kirpasha Kaur Sandhu won the title of best swimmer.
Meanwhile, the Victorian Swimming Club (VSC) became second with Bowen Chin Bao Wen, Stephen J. Chua Hua Sheng and Azriel Jeffri Chin taking their respective age group best swimmer and swimmer Nor Solleha Shafi Awang Sulaiman for age group from Dania & Iqa Swimming Academy (DISA).

The tournament involving the age categories of 8 years and below, 9-10 years old, 11-12 years old, 13-14 years old and 15 years old and above is the qualifying time option to represent Labuan to the Malaysia Invitational Championship scheduled for 2 to 5 June 22 at the National Aquatic Centre, Bukit Jalil.
“We are very proud of all the swimmers. They have worked so hard for this after multiple lockdowns over the years. We have confidence that we can do better in next year’s championship”, said PAL President Mr.Su Thian Song.
