Yong Oi Kiong Resigns from KDM Party Supreme Council

Datuk Yong Oi Kiong resigns as a Member of the KDM Party Supreme Council


TENOM: Datuk Yong Oi Kiong has resigned as a Member of the Supreme Council of Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM), with the resignation taking effect from the date stated in his resignation letter.


In a statement, Yong said the decision was made after careful consideration to allow him to focus fully on other responsibilities currently under his charge. These include managing several associations under his leadership as well as attending to his business commitments, all of which require his full-time attention.


He said factors such as age and physical capacity also influenced his decision, noting the need to reorganise his commitments in the interest of personal and family well-being, while ensuring he remains effective in carrying out each responsibility entrusted to him.


Yong expressed his highest appreciation and gratitude to the party leadership and members for the trust and confidence placed in him throughout his tenure as a Supreme Council member.


He also conveyed his confidence that the KDM Party would continue to move forward and achieve greater success in the future, while extending his best wishes to the party’s leadership and members.
