KOTA KINABALU: A ceremony to break the fast organized by the Ministry of Community Development and People’s Well-being (KPMKR) was held here on Friday evening.
The Minister of KPMKR, Datuk James Ratib said that the ceremony was an effort to unite the people of the Ministry so that they could serve with more excellence, dynamism, dedication and high commitment.
“Syukur alhamdulilah, the opportunity that exists today allows us to get to know each other more closely and at the same time establish and strengthen friendships with each other.
“Today I feel very lucky to be able to be together and meet more face to face with KPMKR employees.
“Before this, I have already met with a number of the staff, especially with the top management members led by YBhg. Datuk Sr. Lee Chun Khiong
“As a matter of fact, I wanted to hold our meeting earlier, but that wish has not been fulfilled. Today, in conjunction with this glorious month, we have been given the space and opportunity to meet even in a very limited time,” he said.
James who is also the Sugut Assemblyman took the opportunity to welcome the invited guests, consisting of heads of departments and agencies, members of the media and all members of KPMKR.
“I also welcome the presence of special people consisting of Persons with Disabilities (OKU), the Elderly and Orphans who were able to be together in this event.
“I would like to thank the Department of General Welfare Services and the Sabah Community Development Council, who have arranged their presence,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to him, in his short time as Minister of KPMKR, he has had the opportunity to see for himself the responsibilities entrusted to the Ministry and the challenges faced by the people of the Ministry.
“On this occasion, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the management and all the people of the Ministry and agencies for the dedication and commitment shown or given to me as a minister in an effort to realize the Ministry’s Direction, Vision and Mission.
“As you already know, especially KPMKR employees, the excellence of service delivery towards the development of a prosperous and prosperous society by 2026 and Empowering the service delivery system through efficient and effective governance, with integrity and the implementation of the Ministry’s digitization initiative, is the Vision and Mission of our ministry.
“In order to achieve this Vision and Mission, it is certain that we will face many challenges, therefore I would like to invite all KMPKR employees and agencies to continue to provide the best service to this ministry,” he said.
James urges all KPMKR staff to digest, take and shoulder this responsibility and trust efficiently.
“It is my hope that all KPMKR members will continue to achieve success after success and show a work culture of high performance, integrity and enthusiasm in carrying out their daily tasks.
“Let us together pioneer success in building society for the well-being of the people for this beloved country.
“With the commitment and spirit of teamwork among KPMKR citizens, I am confident and believe that the vision of the Ministry of KPMKR can be achieved to ensure the well-being of the people is our priority,” he said.
According to James, this is in line with the words of wisdom “Human Capital Development is the Heart and Soul of the Framework to Build Society Towards People’s Well-Being Along with the Sabah Maju Jaya Roadmap”.
He expressed his appreciation and thanks to the KPMKR Breaking the Fast Event Organizing Committee chaired by KPMKR Deputy Permanent Secretary, Puan Hajah Myrna Jimenez, for their hard work in making the event a success.
“On this occasion I wish you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, and put my hands together as a sign of forgiveness to all,” he explained.
