PAITAN: The students here are advised to always have a high motivation to achieve success at the school level as well as in the working world later.
Minister of Community Development and People’s Well-Being and N48 Sugut Assemblyman, Datuk James Ratib said that the most important success factor lies in the students themselves.
“The success of a student is not only based on the effort and dedication of the teacher. In addition to teachers, parents also need to shape the future of their children.
“For me, the most important factor for success lies in the students themselves, so that they always have a high motivation to achieve success,” he said.
He added that all parties need to make the relationship between school members and parents a relationship based on mutual responsibility, mutual need and always supporting each other.
He said this through the text of his opening speech which was read by his representative, the Head of Beliawanis Movement N48 Sugut Division, Nurul Syafinah binti James in conjunction with the Quality Award Day (MAKUL) of SMK Simpangan, Beluran 2023.
He thanked SMK Simpangan, Beluran for inviting him to the ceremony and to the parents who had shown a high commitment by attending the ceremony.
“Thank you and congratulations to the teachers who have successfully dignified the teaching profession to be able to produce this quality human capital.
“Hopefully this event will continue to be the basis of a paradigm shift in generating distinguished human capital,” he said.
James took the opportunity by challenging the students to prove that they were capable of continuing to achieve greater success.
“Try more diligently with the knowledge imparted by the teachers to achieve success and further enhance the name of the school.
“I believe today’s ceremony is in line with the goal of encouraging and motivating students to continue striving for excellence in all fields.
“It is hoped that programs like this will continue in the future not only for students who excel but also for those who are less outstanding but show improvement or progress,” he said.
James also wished well and congratulated the students who received prizes for their achievements and hoped that the achievements of excellence would not end here.
“Continue the excellence throughout your lives. It is true that we have created many successes, but this does not mean that we can sit back and hope that every success created in the past will repeat itself in the future.
“The fact is, we are facing various new challenges that demand that we always explore the latest knowledge, innovate and strive to go beyond the boundaries of excellence,” he said.
According to James, the students who received awards this time are those who work hard and are consistent in their efforts.
He said, these outstanding people are usually diligent every day and not diligent just before the exam or diligent according to the season.
“I believe that if other students can emulate those who received the award today, you too will definitely be in that chair next year.
“In this regard, all parties must join hands and organize steps as fast as possible to realize it.
“As a result of the strong collaboration that has been established, a network of high academic excellence can be achieved,” he explained.
