SME’s Labuan paid a courtesy visit to CEO Labuan Corporation

LABUAN: Members of Committies and Advisors  the Small and Medium Industries (SMEs)  Labuan, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Labuan Corporation, Haji Rithuan Mohd Ismail at his office in the Labuan Corporation’s Guest House Building, recently.

The visit of eight advisory members of the committee was led by its President, Jefery Tan.

The meeting last for almost 3 hours where SME’s Labuan introduced its association which was just established in November last year and shared the objectives of SME Labuan.

He said, SMEs Labuan intends to facilitate active interaction and coordination between local businesses and government agencies in an effort to develop business on the island.

“It was a fruitful visit and Labuan SMEs look forward to direct involvement in policy formulation and increasing economic growth in Labuan,” he said, in a media statement here  yesterday.

Jefery said the Labuan SME Association was established on 14 September 2022 with the objective of encouraging the establishment & development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME’s).

“In addition to acting as providing services, consultation to members related to MSMEs and businesses in Labuan” he said.

Meanwhile, Rithuan welcomes SMEs  as a non-governmental organization (NGO’s) that can help strengthen the support system available for local businesses and can collaborate with the Labuan Corporation.

Rithuan said that the Labuan Corporation always welcomes the involvement of SMEs that can contribute to the business community in Labuan.
