KOTA KINABALU: A group of caring Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Luyang pooled their resources to purchase 14 laptops for B40 students in three primary schools here, after learning of their plight.

“Laptops and WIFI access are basic key requirements for online learning. Our Club is trying to help these students facing difficulty in acquiring electronic devices for their studies in this Covid-19 pandemic,” said team leader Benita Wong.

According to her, the club will not hesitate to continue this project if fellow Rotarians are able to raise more funds in the near future.

On Monday, Wong led the team in distributing the laptops to SK Sri Gaya, SJK (C) Shan Tao and SK (C) Anglo-Chinese, witnessed by Club President Halim Egoh and the respective school heads.
