LABUAN: Universal Serviced Offices (USO) launched its third and latest expansion with their brand-new premiere facility located at Level 13 (C), Block 4 of Financial Park Labuan, the heart of retail and financial industries on the island.
USO, which is the largest serviced office facility in Labuan, held it’s launching at their latest facility here recently by guest of honour Datuk Chin Chee Kee, Chairman of the Association of Labuan Trust Companies cum Director of Labuan IBFC alongside USO Regional Manager Imelda Thadeus.
Also present to witness the event were Mr Johari Mesar, Chief Executive Officer of Financial Park Labuan, Mr Subramaniam, Senior General Manager of Financial Park Labuan, Mr Fadzli Bin Md Saad, Pengurus Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP ) Labuan and clients of USO.
When officiating the event, Chin congratulated USO for their remarkable achievement and hopes USO can continue their services to facilitate the growth of the financial industry by providing world-class serviced office spaces and management services to industry players.
“Providers such as Universal Serviced Offices play a crucial role to facilitate the establishment of many companies.
“They work hand-in-hand with us, as industry players, to ensure our business lays a solid foundation in Labuan and with the Authorities. In return, this will produce a trickle-down effect to the local economy and Labuan people,” he said.
The brand-new office facility will aid Labuan registered companies in complying with the substance requirement by the Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA) seeing as companies will need to open up their offices here with full-time employees.
The demand for offices has been high and definite as it is a requirement for industry players operating under the Labuan IBFC.
Today, Labuan IBFC is home to more than 5,000 active companies which includes top-ranked financial institutions comprising of banks, insurance companies, trust companies, leasing companies and commodity trading companies.
Thus, the office facilities are imperative in assisting registered companies here set up, which in turn will spur the local economy.
With the brand-new facility, USO delivers elegant yet modern, high-tech offices equipped with high-speed internet and a beautiful contemporary business lounge and café. The new addition to this latest facility is the “USO Elite” corner which has offices with breathtaking and uninterrupted, panoramic ocean views.
With this expansion, USO offers an additional 104 modern workstations with ready to move in, fully serviced private offices. USO explains that the new business center contains a gross surface area of approximately 5,508 sqft. Currently, USO has a total of 169 workstations at Level 16 and 63 workstations at Level 6 of Financial Park Main Office Tower.
The highlight of the business centre is the USO Elite offices, a wellness corridor, and the main business lounge which serves as a meeting and communication area exclusively for its members.
