RANAU: True success, or Al-Falah, is not solely measured by material achievements but by the moral and spiritual development of society, said Datuk Seri Haji Masidi Manjun, Minister of Finance Sabah.

Speaking at the Maulidur Rasul celebration here today, Masidi said that prosperity and social harmony are built on the values of justice, compassion, and integrity, which align with the principles of Malaysia Madani and aspirations of Sabah Maju Jaya.

“The success we seek is not just economic advancement, but a deeper, more

holistic success that includes spiritual and ethical growth.”

“This is the true meaning of Al-Falah, observed through the theme of today’s celebration, ‘Al-Falah Pemacu Malaysia Madani,’” said Masidi.

He pointed to Ranau as a prime example of how a community can thrive by balancing economic development with the cultivation of moral values, unity, and environmental sustainability.

The Minister also highlighted the district’s unique diversity, where communities from various ethnicities live harmoniously.

During the celebration, Masidi also presented the Maulidur Rasul Icon awards to IDS CEO, Prof. Datuk Dr Ramzah Dambul and Datuk Hajah Amisah Yasin.
